Things You Should Know

July 5, 2015 · In: College

So, if you have followed this blog, you will know that I have been very MIA for the past few months. I have been pretty busy with school and music, but I do want to get back to working on this blog regularly. I do not think I will be able to do a ton of posts, maybe one to two a week, but I want to keep blogging, because I do enjoy writing about my life and certain things. Currently it is summer, and if you read my post “Future Plans” you might be able to guess that I am not taking any classes right this second. I did take one class this summer that went from the end of May to the end of June. I am so happy to be done with the class. Now that my class is over and with it being summer, I have a more flexible schedule, I want to try to get into a routine for everything in my life. Blogging, practicing, composing-yes I do want to maybe be a composer-and I have a few weeks left of summer to figure out how to balance it all in addition to a very full course load.
I will try to get a good number of posts pre-written before the fall semester starts that way I can have some content ready to go. This blog from now on will mainly be geared to musicians, specifically woodwind players and high school and college students, but I will try to write posts that are relevant to just about anyone who plays music.
Now as far as what I will be doing this coming fall: I will be moving out for the first time and into a college dorm at the university that I have transferred to. This school, which I mentioned in a previous post and will not disclose for privacy reasons, is about 90 minutes or so from where I currently live. I love the town that it is located in, I love the campus, but most importantly, I love the music building, and the music faculty that I have met are all very nice. It is not a conservatory, but I think that is okay. I don’t think you need to go to a big fancy conservatory to become a well-trained musician. I will go into more depth about that in another post. This fall, I will have more than enough classes-around 12?-I am not quite sure. A lot of them are only 1 credit hour, but still, that is quite a lot for a college student. So, I will try to come up with posts regularly, I probably will not be able to have a schedule, but we shall see. Even though college will be taking up the bulk of my time this fall, I still plan to write for this blog, and I will also be selling sheet music online through my personal site on MusicaNeo here.
Thanks for reading my blog! I hope you come back later and see some of the posts I have that actually pertain to what I love to do-music!
