This day is supposed to be dedicated to packing the car, but my family and I will be doing that tomorrow before we leave. So, I will be using this post to explain my plans for the upcoming year regarding school, my personal life, and this blog.
ACADEMIC PLANS
This year, I plan on focusing on flute with possibly piano as a second instrument. I can’t remember if I mentioned this in another blog post, but I was going to take oboe lessons, but I have decided against continuing down that road. I have nothing against the oboe, I really enjoyed learning a new instrument, but I want to spend more time on flute and piano. I will be taking quite a few classes for a total of 18+ hours. I’m not totally sure how many classes I will have yet. This fall, I am taking earth science with lab, music theory 3, ear training/sight singing 3, music history 1, flute lessons, flute choir, marching band, wind ensemble, piano test out, and either the level of piano I test into or piano lessons. I don’t know my spring schedule yet, but it will probably be pretty similar.
PERSONAL LIFE
I don’t know what the year has in store for me, but I am (obviously) moving to a new place, and I will be living on my own. I will come home occasionally to visit and for holidays.
THE BLOG
I want to keep up with this blog, but I have to put classes as a first priority. I have about a month worth of posts ready to go up, and I hope to write even more than that. I don’t know if I will have enough time, but I’m going to try. If you want to keep up with me outside of the blog, you can check out my links at the end of the post or under the section “Where to Find Me” on the right sidebar.
As I mentioned above, I won’t be packing the car until tomorrow, so I couldn’t do a post on packing the car, but I did want to write an update. I will also be uploading another update with plans next Monday.
Thanks for reading!
