Posture and Breathing

When playing the flute, proper posture and breathing are both crucial to making progress. If you don’t have good breath support, you’ll struggle to make a sound. The same is true if you hunch over when playing, hence this lesson!

You’ll receive:

  • A video lesson you can watch to learn good posture and breathing
  • A PDF with exercises to help work on your air capacity
  • The chance to receive feedback from me

Your Teacher

Hi there! I’m Hannah, and I’m a flutist, educator, and arranger, and I’ve struggled with posture and breathing.

Even now, I have to remind myself to stand up straight. I also regularly work on breathing exercises, but it’s never too early or late to start for yourself.

Happy fluting!

Who is this lesson for?

This lesson is for flute players of all levels who need some tips and tricks to help with their posture and breathing while playing. Whether you’re a beginner or have played for years, you’ll want to get in on this.

How will I access the content?

When your purchase goes through, you’ll receive an email with a PDF attached. The file contains the original exercises and a link to the video lesson. You’ll also find a link to submit a recording for feedback.

How does feedback work?

You’ll have a week from the date of purchase to submit a recording of yourself playing. For this lesson, video recordings are ideal due to the visual nature of your posture. I’ll then respond with feedback.
